AIRPORT Zürich / business lounge

Starting with the BLINDES idea, I already used in my textile design diploma 2002 tape it; I developed a series of patterns for room dividers and walls in the Business class Lounge of Swissport International Ltd. at Airport Zurich in the New Terminal Dock Midfield.
I worked with the same technique: 3 cm wide stripes of foil layered differently to compose a variation of patters. The complex picture is put together with four to five layers of patterns combined in different angles and densities. Stuck on the backside of a glass window, and illuminated with LED panels. The layered material creates new shapes and gives the pattern a depth.
It was collaboration with the Architect Daniela Saxer
Setup with Simone Häcki

The INTERNET TABLE, 4 Layers (180 x 220 cm) directly stuck on the glass, and illuminated with daylight, so the pattern changes its aspects, according to the light situation.
