Fleeting impermanence merges with the colours of India in Claudia Caviezel's Patina, a digital print on canvas for the Indian Art Fair. Surprises emerge from her imaginary landscape. An iridescent snake uncoils through a dark portal to slide across a pulsating skin of tangerine orange, while butterflies, parrots and kingfishers perch on paint splashes. Caviezel's fantasy world taps into the golden rule ascribed to the Indian subcontinent; do the opposite of what would be normal anywhere else.
