Curtains and Light Boxes

Recognised throughout Switzerland for design elements that enhance public and semi-public spaces, BURRI invited Claudia Caviezel to design permanent accent elements to enliven the concrete architecture of BURRI's new design and production workshop building at its Zurich HQ. Caviezel introduced a fantasy natural world into her design theme Elements Go Wild. Her witty mural patterns incorporate BURRI products (road signs, street furniture, lighting) within an exotic flora and fauna landscape that animates each space. Flowers and tropical trees suffuse the 2D landscape while exotic animals curiously interact with BURRI products. Caviezel's seven colourful designs were digitally printed on acrylic panels to create large-scale lightbox walls, and digitally printed on semi-transparent fabric to create industrial-sized mobile curtain walls.
